you're reading...

Hello, from your new neighbor

As a graduate student, I thought it would be a fun idea to make a little extra dough by performing or showing off my talent in the Manhattan subways, going from car to car, entertaining people. Except, what would this extra special talent be? Perhaps I can interview a number of wonderful folks and let them know that I am working on a project that entails a wonderful diagnostic of the lives of New Yorkers on my blog. Although I won’t accept a large fee, I am sure it would all still help for my student loans to Uncle Sam. So the next time you see me with a striped shirt, a tape recorder and a notepad, be prepared to actually communicate with somebody else on the subway instead of pretending the 100 other people in the car don’t exist.
